vbulletin in my domain name

  • I see other sites with vbulletin in the domain name..what is the issue in regards to registring a site as say vbulletin-help.com etc...
    Is it ok if its a vbulletin forum? And what if its not a forum but a help site for vbulletin or news or whatever.
    Can i use vbulletin in a domain name?

  • No it's not okay as per my post above. vBulletin is trademarked and cannot be used without our permission otherwise I would have said so. It may be that some sites were grandfathered in because they used it before the trademark was final, but the fact is this cannot be done without our permission and aqs far as I know we are not allowing vBulletin to be used in domain names.

  • I would imagin as long as you place a sign in your forum saying you unnofical or not affliates with vB, you should be okay. I've seen VARIOUS sites on vB here and other forums/people running a domain with vBulletin in it.. and I'm quite sure not ALL of them have asked Jelsoft for consent.
