I what to get a husky and Ive been reading all about them and I don't want him/her to be lonely while I'm at work so I want to get a another dog that can keep him busy but I also want the dog to be a good watch dog and guard dog in case anything happens. I would have got another husky but they don't make good watchdogs or guard dogs. Thanks for anyones help.Rottweilers are good watch/guard dogs!
i have a Rottie/GSD?Husky mix and she is protective of me and the house.
My dog Dakota has 3 breeds in her that are good guard dogs!German Shepard defiantlyA shepherd or a great dane!

=]I have a female Siberian Husky and then rescued a Male German Shep X Husky from the pound. From day one they have gotten along so well! They are both ruff and big so they have tons of fun together. Plus Duke (My male) he is always on "top" of every sound or crack within our house, so I always feel safe. In other words I'd recommend a GSD! German shepherd, I have two. One named Kaiser got very aggressive when had this strange guy come up in our yard. Kaiser NEVER gets aggressive even when new people. We knew that guy wasn't a good guy to have around. well that guy never came back after that.
When I younger we had one attack a burglar that was trying to get in the house. Man I miss that dog. The same dog used to cuddle up with our goats. Every german shepherd I had have been very affectionate and seem to get along with other dogs. I wouldn't get a white german shepherd though, for some reason they seem to more aggressive.
