somehow I'm pretty much disappointed that this bug (http://outpostfirewall.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19142) is not dealt with at all. Not even a sign of statement from Agnitum. I just can repeat myself - it is absolutely annoying on a multi-user system, even if only one person uses the PC with two or more identities (Admin, User, ...).
Now I cannot even restart OP as user - after restart OP cannot access its database and configuration (shows message box and blocks internet on every single attempt to store the configuration file).
Furthermore, with the latest version (1007.7323 (591)) OP blocks all traffic from my browser (K-Meleon). The log says:
21:50:39 unbekannt AUS ABGELEHNT TCP www.google.de HTTPS Lernmodus
(which means, an unknown process tries to access www.google.de by https and is blocked in learning mode).
Hmm - I don't know, why the calling process is "unknown". K-Meleon used to work fine before.
IE can connect however with HTTPS. Strange.
Sigh.
Did you use your old configuration or make new ones? Maybe you could remove the rule for K-Meleon and restart everything and see if it makes a new rule and it all works, or another thing, put Outpost in Rules Wizard and see if it makes a new rule necessary for browsing.
With your first problem, I cannot help, as I am the only one and do not switch user.
thanks for your response! Concerning K-Meleon everything seems to be fine again after having rebooted. Seems like OP's problems with starting/stopping as one and the same user or as another user have had some side-effects...
